The Ministry of Science and Technology, through INPE, has made available on the Internet remote sensing historical data: Images from Landsat 1/2/3 (MSS sensor) from 1973 to 1983. These images can be freely accessed at: http://www.dgi.inpe.br/CatalogoMSS/

 

This collection of LANDSAT (MSS, TM and ETM) images is very useful for observing the evolution of different natural and social processes, showing the shape of the Brazilian territory in the past 30 years.

 

INPE has installed a Remote Sensing Data Center (CDSR) which is in charge of keeping this database catalog, and making the images easily available to the remote sensing community.
